Great service from weekday staff. Excellent quality and good food. Range of fish available is huge as are portions. Pricey though.
Went into the takeaway tonight as the Wheel house happened to be closed,so I thought Id walk down and try rockfish!! The lady was cooking with one customer I guess shed already served.I was in there for at least 3 minutes waiting and not once did she even attempt to acknowledge me even just to say shed be with me in a minute.so I walked back out and went into the Chinese.
Possibly the best fish and chips we have ever had! Lovely warm and welcoming restaurant, good prices, very welcoming to children and the food was amazing! Recommend trying their sea cider.
Having been to Rockfish for many years, we have never had a bad word to say about the food or service. However on a recent visit the experience was pretty awful, 1hr 20mins before starters, which were not enough for our group size and staff were slow to respond, our gluten free member of the group was left without food completely even after asking twice. Drinks were so slow that they were delivered to our table by an old employee who happened to be in that night and took pity on the staff. Food was less than impressive for once and has put us off returning. Perhaps a change of staff or manager has occurred...
Ace food, ace service. Really fresh fish and the chips were great. Love the way they highlight the fish available on the paper mats and the packs they give out for young kids to keep them amused are also great.
