Train of Lights and ride through the enchanted forest is magnificent.
It's a quiet place, ferry across R.Dart to Dartmouth.I travelled by the" Torbay Express" steam heritage trust.from Bristol.
Beautifully kept station at the end of the preserved steam line from paignton. Stunning views across the river. Has a little shop and a small museum as well. Just a short walk to the ferry to cross to Dartmouth. Also next door to a lovely looking pub called the ship inn. Which I must sample next time I visit
Kingswear has a nice train station with cafe and a couple of nice pubs. We had a nice Sunday lunch at The Ship Inn.
A nice station which has its own shop and mini museum as well as links to the nearby ferry service. Enjoyable and good prices.
