Lidls Dartmouth has come on leaps and bounds. It has expanded its range of foods and now beats its rival Sainsburys hands down with the variety of fruit and veg available.Today I managed to get served quickly but that is not always the case. And this is my biggest gripe with shopping here - the long queues. It can be pandemonium when it gets busy. A nightmare if you only have a few items. I have actually walked out and abandoned my shopping on a few occasions in the past. However at this time of the year its not as bad. Prices are lower than their rivals but sometimes the quality is not there. I bought some mushrooms last week only to find they were rotten and only fit for the bin.I am trying a Vegan diet now and would like to see more Vegan items like the very nice Gosh Falafel they sell. Overall I give Lidls a big thumbs up.
Put aside your snobbish preconceptions and save an absolute fortune. I shop here two or three times a week and save several thousand pounds a year. For fillies, go to Marks and Spencer but please don't bother with Sainsbury , Morrisons or Tesco... They're a rip off. Lidl even has lobster, what's not to like?
Always bargains. Sometimes low on special offer items as its a smaller store. Looking forward to Thursdays craft ale week. Some great ales coming in at low prices. Staff always friendly.
