Lovely hotel overlooking the harbour, lovely rooms at the front (rooms at the back a little more basic), great breakfast... Eggs Benedict etc. Cosy bar.
Food was gorgeous on Monday when we took our friends. The spit roast pork lunch was enough to entice us back on Wednesday. Wednesday however, was not as good.
Spent New Years Eve in here. Had a great evening with friends and met some lovely people. Only downside was the entertainment could have been more party like. The Soul Band were excellent and should have played all night with a DJ in the breaks. Instead of DJ there was a guy on guitar, and while good, just not suitable for the occasion. Food was ok, disappointed that one of the starters not available (pigs in blankets) and one of the mains (turkey schnitzel). Bar staff excellent as always, drinks reasonably priced. Oh and no countdown to midnight.
Had our work Xmas meal here last night, and also stayed over. What a delightful experience! Every single staff member went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable, and the room was gorgeous (standard double)We really didn't want to check out, and can't wait to return!
Friendly staff and nice food a great place to visit. We didn't stay there but I have booked rooms there in the past. Great location and two Bars!
